We Belong feat. Dafna

“We Belong” is the first single off of our Lose Myself EP. This track started with a few chords we sent to Dafna and being the amazing songwriter she is, sent over the the whole song in just a couple of days. After that the song underwent probably 10 different versions and styles. We could never find something that really expressed who we are and what the track mean to us. There was an ambient version, an electronic heavy version, but it wasn’t until our friend Nick Carruth sent over a few guitar licks to sample that something really clicked. The plucked rhythm guitar you hear throughout the track is what really caught our intention and immediately set the groove. We ended up stripping away practically all of the production and rebuilt it around the guitar, Dafna’s vocals, and the verse chords.
“Creating this track and its music video was a really incredible process. The track itself features contributions from a few different artists which was an exciting experience for us, combining so many different ideas into one cohesive sound. This was our first music video too which came together with help from a variety of Denver creatives. We woke up at 4 AM to capture certain scenes, were repeatedly stopped by security in separate locations and overall was a great way to bond with the team and push ourselves creatively in order to make something greater than the sum of its parts.”
