It’s been an awesome experience testing out our live show these past few months. Before ‘Things We Were Raised By’ came out we ran our performances in a DJ set. To be running this new show for such a short time yet get the reactions we’ve been receiving has been humbling to say the least. It’s now time for us to go back into the studio and take this production to the next level! ✌🏽✌🏼

Shae District Support for Evanoff

Our show supporting Evanoff was a special one for multiple reasons. Outside of supporting some incredible people and artists, it held many firsts.
This show is how we met Hudson Ratzlaff, our creative director on multiple projects. Including all of our show recaps from this one to COVID, he co-directed our music video for “We Belong”, and we ended up starting our label, Black Swan, together in 2020.
It was also the first time we played a show together with Dafna. We were brought on to each other’s radars and we talked about writing a track together. We ended up sending a couple of different things back and forth, and we clicked fairly quickly once the first version of “We Belong” began.
The performance set up you see in the video above is what we ended up sticking up with for the next few shows. Prior to the release of our Things We Were Raised By EP we used to run our shows through a Traktor DJ controller. We knew we wanted to express ourselves in a more action oriented way so we began brainstorming how to do so. We had a two show run testing our set up until finally reaching the current set up you see.
